Åsne Høgetveit, Clara López Rubio, Fagamou Ndiaye, Francesca Bertin, Maka Gogaladze, Maša Nešković, Mina Keshavarz and Rand Beiruty will compose the delegation with our CIRCLE Project Manager Letícia da Rosa. The PDF presentation with detailed information about our delegation can be found at the DOK Leipzig International Delegations page.

HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR CIRCLE DELEGATION AT DOK LEIPZIG 2024

We're proud to announce that our 2024 participant Fagamou Ndiaye is also a member of the Generation Africa 2.0 delegation, introducing her CIRCLE feature documentary project "Maty or the Real Life" in the delegation presentation scheduled for Tuesday 29 October 10:00 – 11:00 at St. Trinitatis venue. The Generation Africa 2.0 is an initiative of the South African non-profit media company STEPS aiming to co-produce up to 30 documentary films from 21 countries in Africa about climate justice. Their films are distributed on multiple platforms and for screening in communities across Africa to stimulate dialogue and discussion about actions to take to mitigate climate change.

Mina Keshavarz will be one of the guests for the panel talk "A discussion around the validity (possibilities?) of collapsing traditional distinctions between the two" moderated by Brigid O’Shea on Tuesday 29 October 13:45 – 14:45 also at St. Trinitatis. The panel will discuss about the boundaries of fiction and documentary, the validity of this traditional categorization and its implications in distribution horizons. Mina will join the conversation with three other panelists: Christoph Terhechte, Artistic and Managing Director of DOK Leipzig, Toby Ashraf, Moderator, Curator and Film Critic and Bianca Oana, Writer and Producer of Manekino Film.

We're delighted to reveal that our alumnaes were selected for DOK Leipzig with films they have developed at CIRCLE Doc Accelerator: alumnae 2020 Maka Gogaladze with "Ever Since I Knew Myself" will have its German premiere in the "Panorama: Central and Eastern Europe" and alumnae 2023 Maša Nešković will showcase her project "Kafka in Belgrade" at the DOK Co-Pro Market.
