Call for projects
Fiction Orbit 2024
Applications 2024 closed
After last year’s success, CIRCLE is launching the 2nd edition of its tailor-made program in the fiction film industry. Built on the methodology and philosophy of CIRCLE Women Doc Accelerator, Fiction Orbit is an intensive one-week workshop taking place from 24th November to 1st December 2024 (in Herceg Novi, Montenegro) which aims to support directors and producers who are developing their second or third fiction feature film.
During the workshop, a carefully selected group of filmmakers will work with leading experts to advance their projects and identify their needs based on solidarity, knowledge exchange and a hands-on mentality. Selected participants will receive feedback on their script, legal aspects and production options, including the best strategic choices and psychological support during their creative process.
We are looking for 10 women and non-binary (second or third-time) directors and producers with strong feature-film projects in development to apply for this initiative.
Bianca Oana (award-winning producer and screenwriter) is the Head of Programme for CIRCLE Fiction Orbit 2024:
"CIRCLE Fiction Orbit 2023 has been a real journey of discovering the strength and exquisiteness of female cinematic voices and bodies. We laughed, we cried, we watched films, we ate, we sweated, we listened to the rain. We found a space to bring our voices together; a week of quiet, in the midst of the world's unrest, to distinguish meaning from chatter, and images from words. I look forward to the second edition and a new group of inspiring filmmakers".
